Our Council meetings are scheduled the first Tuesday of each month; the Council Planning meeting occurs the fourth Tuesday of each month.
Our Council was founded in 1985, with 36 members. Through the years we have grown to over 150 members. Our members are deeply rooted in our faith and our parish. Members of this Councils serve as Ushers, Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers. Our members also devote time to the maintenance and upkeep of our Parish. Members regularly assist in facility repairs, landscaping and snow removal.
This Council serves our Community by fundraising and donating both monetarily and with time to several organizations, such as Downtown Mission, St. Vincent de Paul, Hospice and Goodfellows. Raising monies through Bingo participation, we also support such organizations as Alzheimer’s, Assisted Living Ontario, Autism Windsor, Hiatus House, Madonna House, Matthew House, Ronald McDonald House, Windsor Essex Child / Youth Advocacy Center. This Councils supports our local Elementary and Secondary Schools and students, by providing monetary assistance for Breakfast Programs and Bursaries, as well as conducting a variety of Youth programs, such as Soccer Penalty Kick, Basketball Free Throw, Hockey Shoot-Out (planned), Keep Christ in Christmas & Substance Abuse / Alcohol Awareness Poster Contests.
Our Members Cooking Team hosts three fantastic events each year, beginning with the Holiday Parish Turkey Dinner in early December, our acclaimed Fish Fry during Lent, wrapping up the year with a celebration of Council members at the Steak and Chicken Awards Banquet. We welcome all parishioners and community at large to each and every one of these events.
We invite all Catholic men age 18 and older, who would like to grow in their faith, strengthen their marriage and family, and support their community, to speak to one of our members to learn more about our Order and our Council.
